Campaign Story

My name is Tomioka. I am 15 years old and I am in need of urgent dental alignment. Ever since I was little my two front teeth (that is, my incisors) have been growing forward at an awkward angle rather than straight downwards. Aside from the tremendous discomfort it causes when I eat, talk, smile and move my mouth it has also caused me great shame. My peers look at me strangely and call me all sorts of names such as “rabbit” and the occasional “goat teeth” even my own family makes fun of me. Because of this I wear face masks to school even after covid just to hide my shame. have told my mother about this but being a single mother of three, we just don’t have the money for braces. I desperately need braces to align my teeth. I need to talk and smile without shame. I need to be able to eat without discomfort for the first time in 15 years! Please, I really need braces. No amount of money is too little. I will continue to endure the pain but please I urgently need braces to align my teeth.
