Campaign Story

Hello, good day. I received admission into African Leadership University, Rwanda, to study software engineering and while I have hoped to receive a full scholarship, I received a grant instead. This grant, the Community Leadership Grant, is a tuition waiver amounting to about 67% of the entire tuition fee. Out of the yearly tuition fee of $3000, I am only required to pay $1000. While this is a tuition fee waiver, it does not include transportation from Nigeria to Rwanda, nor does it cover accommodation, feeding and medical insurance. This is why I am opting for the option of crowdfunding, in order to raise the money needed for my education. Below is a financial breakdown of the amount I need for support:

  1. Tuition Fee – $1000 ≈ ₦415,400
  2. Airfare ≈ ₦213,098
  3. Accommodation & Feeding(ALU facilitated) – $1120 ≈ ₦464,486
  4. Medical Insurance(ALU facilitated) – $125 ≈ ₦51,840
  5. Laptop( I do not have a laptop and I do need one, since it is software engineering I am going to study) ≈ ₦150,000 (opting for a fairly used, instead of a new one)
