Campaign Story
Chioma is a 7year old orphan living with her grandmother in the rural town of Awa. Her grandmother is elderly and can no longer do strenous jobs to pay for her school fees and books. So Chioma has been sent out of school and is currently at home helping her grandmother farm and sell the products. Ukamaka is 12years old and the second child of 7children. She is currently in Jss 1 She was sent out of school because her mother could not afford to pay her school fees nor buy the required books and locker for starting secondary school.   Children like Chioma and Ukamaka in Awa, Orumba North are not in school because their care givers can not afford to pay their termly school fees of 3,000 naira and buy their books and socks.  So many of them hang around the village till some get pregnant or are married off for money for the younger ones.  These children deserve at least the basic education and your little can go a long way.  My name is Somtoo Ugochukwu; founder of WeCare African Initiative. We have the school project this month and we need your support. The school project aims to take back the fatherless, orphaned and less privileged children in Africa’s local communities… we are starting with a local town, Awa in Orumba North,Anambra state,Nigeria. We can do this Together we can give these children an education. Together we can put a smile on their caregivers and in these children because We Care!!! Your little can go a long way
