Short Story
My name is Nelson Uzoma, and I’m honored to have received multiple U.S. university offers and scholarships, including from Penn State, Illinois Tech, Arizona State University and 4 others. After much thought, I chose St. John’s University in Queens, New York, where I’ll begin studying Computer Science in January 2026 with a partial scholarship.
St. John’s offers the best financial support and a strong tech program in one of the world’s most innovative cities. My dream is to use artificial intelligence and digital solutions to drive development and to one day establish research and training centers for young Nigerians/Africans.
Although I’ve received some aid, my family can only cover part of my expenses. I’m raising funds to help pay for my housing, health insurance, and travel costs.
Every donation — big or small — brings me closer to achieving my dream and giving back to my community.
