Campaign Story
Hello, and thank you for taking a moment to read my story. My name is Alade Abraham, and I’m a proud new father doing everything I can to provide for my small family. My son was born not long ago, and though his arrival filled our hearts with love and hope, life since then has been anything but easy. I work in house finishing — a contract-based job where you only get paid when there’s work available. Sadly, jobs are inconsistent, and more often than not, there’s little or nothing to do. And no work means no income. Since the birth of my son, things have gotten even tougher. Newborns come with new responsibilities — hospital bills, baby supplies, food, and constant needs. I’ve taken multiple small loans just to make sure we don’t go hungry or sleep in the dark. I did it all for my family, hoping that things would turn around quickly. But they haven’t. Right now, I’m drowning in debt, with no stable income to rely on. My wife, Patience, and I try our best to stay strong, but it’s been difficult. We often go to bed hungry just to make sure our baby has enough to eat. It hurts deeply as a father and husband not to be able to provide the basic needs of life. I’m not lazy, and I’m not giving up. I keep looking for jobs, even side gigs — anything at all to make ends meet. But we are in a dry season, and I’ve exhausted all my options. I’m reaching out here not because I want pity, but because I need help to breathe again. A little help will go a long way — to pay off part of my debt, to keep the lights on, and to buy food and diapers for my son. If you can find it in your heart to give, I’ll be forever grateful. And if you can’t, sharing my story might help it reach someone who can. Thank you for reading. May life be kind to you and yours.
