Campaign Story
My name is Dami, a 24-year-old Nigerian living with sickle cell anemia. Life has thrown many challenges my way — from growing up in a family with very limited income to being scammed by a fake college after 5 years of study with no certificate to show for it.  But I didn’t give up.  I’ve recently been accepted into the University of the People (UoPeople) — a tuition-free, U.S.-accredited online university. It’s giving me a second chance at education and a future I can be proud of.  Though the university doesn’t charge tuition, I still have to pay $140 every 2 months for course assessment fees. I plan to take 1 course every 2 months, which means I’ll need to pay for 6 courses in a year — totaling $840 (about ₦1.3 million).  That’s why I’m asking for your support.  Your donation — no matter how small — will go directly to helping me pay these fees so I can continue my studies. I’m determined to complete my degree, rise above my past, and one day support others who are going through what I’ve faced.  If you’ve ever believed in giving someone a second chance — I’m that someone.  Thank you for reading, and thank you for helping me take one step closer to my dream.  – Dami
