Support Kpo Fire: A Film Creating Awareness on Illegal Oil Refining & Its Impact
“Shining a Light on _Kpo Fire: A Fight for Our Environment, Health, and Future”_

Hi everyone! My name is Oweikpodor Toboseiyefa (aka Gift Seiyefa), and I’m the founder of Toboseiyefa Flims Production. I’m working on a powerful film project called Kpo Fire. The term Kpo Fire refers to the illegal refining of crude oil into fuel, diesel, and kerosene—a dangerous activity that many people turn to as a means of livelihood.

Sadly, this practice is causing widespread harm to communities, the environment, and the economy. While those involved in Kpo Fire see it as a way to survive, the consequences are devastating. It worsens the pollution already caused by activities from oil exploration, contaminating the air, water, and land. Communities suffer from respiratory diseases and the destruction of their environment, while the nation loses valuable resources and revenue due to illegal bunkering. The ripple effect leaves many trapped in poverty and despair.

Through this film, I aim to spark conversations about the dangers of Kpo Fire and the urgent need for sustainable alternatives that protect lives, livelihoods, and the economy.

To make this vision a reality, we’re raising funds for Phase One and Phase Two of production. These phases include:

  • Phase One (₦670,000): Covers script/screenplay development, script conference, and script duplication.
  • Phase Two (₦10,300,000): Includes rehearsals (venue and transportation), cast remuneration, and preparation for filming.

Kpo Fire is being produced to meet cinema specifications, ensuring it has the quality and impact needed to reach a wide audience and spark meaningful conversations.

With your support, we can lay the foundation for a film that truly makes a difference. Once these phases are complete, we’ll move into production, post-production, and outreach to bring the film to screens across Nigeria and beyond.
