Born with sickle cell anaemia, life has never been easy for him.
He didn’t even know he had the condition until secondary school. By then, the silent battle had already begun. What should have been a 7-year academic journey stretched painfully into 10 years because repeated skin graft surgeries pulled him out of school for three sessions. Since 2001making 26 years of pain and agony, he has endured seven surgeries on four chronic leg ulcers affecting both legs.

As a child, a wrong injection damaged a nerve and left his leg paralysed — the beginning of a lifelong nightmare.

1. Today, he is a husband and a father of two beautiful children. He works hard, but ¾ of his salary goes straight to medical bills. Recently his PCV dropped to 6%, he needed 12 pints of blood just to survive severe anaemia. Survival has become a cycle of pain, transfusions, and surgeries.
   Now, he urgently needs ₦7million to undergo another critical surgery. His siblings are financially exhausted. His parents are old and unable to help further. He is tired. Drained. Yet still fighting — for his life, for his children, for hope.
   The horror of sickle cell anaemia has taken so much from him, but it has not taken his will to live.
