Campaign Story

Camp David Schools established on 29 July, 1986 is on the verge of total closure due to unsustainable funding and mounting bank debts. The school was a high flyer between 1986 and 2005. CAMP DAVID became a household name in the Education industry in Lagos covering the entire Ogba, Ifako, Okeira, Ojodu and Ikeja areas. The GUARDIANS Newspaper listed CAMP DAVID SCHOOLS in the top 100 schools in Lagos State and truely it was. Educational foundation was premium with highly quality tuition, certified Nigerian, Ghanaian and other foreign teachers.

WHAT WENT WRONG?

After the death of our Philanthropic founder Engr. David Bodunrin Caulcrick on May 21, 1996; the school came under different management and administrations who could not sustain the massive vision, infrastructure and goals of the school over a period of time.

CAMP DAVID SCHOOLS comprising of approved Primary and Secondary schools was ran aground and became a shadow of its self loosing almost all the annexes and infrastructure.

WHY WE SEEK CROWDFUNDING!

The ownership is now transferred to a new couple – both educationist with excellence and passion to rebirth the school. The couples have burnt bridges to acquire the assets and liabilities amounting to nearly N185million with a commitment of about N100million made.

We are running out of time to pay off the balance. Meanwhile part of the initial payment were bank loans some in default with mounting interest and undue pressure from banks.

Infact STERLING BANK PLC almost closed down the school with their irresponsible loan recovery action sending away over 58 children just last session. This has piled more pressure on the couples and their very hope of reviving the school, turning it around and repositioning it to a global citadel of excellence is now under severe threat.

SHOULD CAMP DAVID SCHOOLS BE CLOSED AND FORGOTTEN FINALLY AFTER ALL THEIR EFFORTS AND SACRIFICES TO SAVE THIS GREAT OLD SCHOOL?

PLEASE COME TO OUR AID.

OUR FINANCIAL OBJECTIVES

We want to raise a total of N150million for the following purpose.

  1. Balance payment for acquisition of the school and building – N85million

  2. Payment of outstanding facilities with banks – N17.8million

  3. Renovation/construction works on the school building/CBT centre – N32.2million

  4. Upgrade of laboratories, Special rooms (Art gallery, Music, Language lab, CBT centre, play equipments and classroom furniture) – N15million

TOTAL – N150MILLION

EVERY PENNY SLICES THE PAIN AND BRINGS US CLOSER TO OUR GOALS.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATIONS AND GENERIOSITY
