HACT Foundation (Health, Advocacy, Care & Transformation) is a grassroots humanitarian initiative and public healthcare collective founded in 2024 in Anambra State, Nigeria. Our urgent mission right now is to protect the reproductive health, dignity, and education of vulnerable young girls and poor village widows. We are raising funds to procure and distribute exactly 1,500 packs of high-grade, sterile sanitary hygiene kits to defeat period poverty in our local communities. WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP:
Extreme economic hyper-inflation has turned commercial sanitary pads into an unattainable luxury for low-income households. Out of sheer financial desperation, thousands of adolescent girls and isolated widows are forced to use dangerous makeshift materials like old rags, dirty cloths, and pieces of tissue paper. Furthermore, bright, ambitious young girls are forced to drop out of school activities or miss classes entirely for a week every single month simply because they lack access to basic hygiene supplies.
