In 2002, amidst the bustling energy of Lagos State, Nigeria, I took a leap of faith onto the stage of the “Night of a Thousand Laugh” Comedy show. It was there, in the pulsating rhythm of a solo Hip-hop routine, that my professional dance journey ignited. From that moment, the stage became my sanctuary, a place where grace, glory, and the freedom of expression intertwined seamlessly for me.

As I delved deeper into the dance industry, I found myself not only mastering solo performances but also creating magic within group choreographies. With each step, my confidence blossomed, propelling me to surpass my own limitations and explore uncharted territories for my talent and as far as it was yearning to reach.

In 2009, an opportunity arose for me to spread my wings beyond my homeland, leading me to the Lin- Impulstanz Street Festival, in the enchanting city of Vienna, Austria. This journey expanded my perspective, urging me to embrace unconventional performance spaces and engage intimately with my audience. Amidst pulsating rhythms, my heart intertwined with audiences, our minds ignited with joy, laughter, and thunderous applauses.

Upon my return to Nigeria, I felt a deep calling to give back to the dance community that had nurtured me. Stepping into the role of Chairman of Lagos State’s dance industry, I faced challenges with unwavering determination, striving to instill a sense of professionalism and unity among my peers. We are still building on every idea and pushing dance and dance practitioners beyond the boundaries of “perceived expectations”.

Today, as I seek support through this crowdfunding campaign and platform, in order to fund my journey to Vienna, Austria (15 years later), and this time around, for a “Dance Scholarship” program, I heartily invite you to join me on a journey of empowerment and growth. With pride in the future accomplishments I will achieve through this scholarship, and the vision of uplifting fellow dancers and the dance industry at large, I humbly appeal for your assistance.

In every twirl and every beat, I embody the spirit of resilience and determination. Your contribution will not only kick start my next chapter in dance, but also pave the way for countless aspiring dancers to follow their dreams.
