Short Story

OJIUGO Maternity Home is an operational, community-based maternal and primary healthcare facility located in a, Federal Capital Territory. Founded and led by Benjamin Queen Ajuruchi — a seasoned maternal healthcare practitioner — the facility currently serves between 100 and 230 patients every month, delivering life-saving antenatal care, safe delivery services, HIV/TB screening, laboratory support, and emergency care to women in one of Abuja’s most densely populated satellite communities.

Despite delivering consistent and compassionate care under extremely constrained conditions, OJIUGO Maternity Home currently operates out of a residential apartment. This critical infrastructure gap limits patient throughput, compromises clinical safety standards, prevents full utilisation of available medical equipment, and restricts the facility’s emergency response capacity.

This proposal requests a total of ₦10,000,000(Ten Million Naira) in funding support to secure a standard clinical facility through a 2–3 year lease, renovate and equip the space to regulatory standards, service and upgrade existing medical equipment, and establish a robust operational base from which OJIUGO Maternity Home can scale its impact.
