Short Story

My brother Harrith urgently needs a kidney transplant. A lifelong football lover, Harrith has faced challenges since losing an eye at age two but always persevered. In 2015, a football injury revealed he had only one kidney, which has since deteriorated. He was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease in May 2023 and now relies on 2-3 dialysis sessions weekly, costing between NGN100,000.00 and NGN120,000.00 weekly. The costs have taken a toll on our family, and dialysis alone is not a cure. With NGN29,287,500, Harrith can receive a transplant and medication that will give him a new lease on life. He’s a vibrant, loving husband and the heart of our family, deserving of more years filled with laughter, family, and the sport he loves. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward this critical procedure. Please donate or share to help Harrith live his life to the fullest once more. Thank you!

Campaign Story

I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart, hoping to rally support for my brother Harrith, who urgently needs a kidney transplant. Harrith has always been a fighter, a true lover of football who proudly played as a goalkeeper in every match. Even after losing his right eye in an accident at just two years old, he never gave up on his dream of playing in the big leagues. In 2015, while still a university student, Harrith’s life took another unexpected turn. During a student-friendly match, a powerful hit to his abdomen led to a medical emergency. It was then that doctors discovered he only had one functioning kidney, and that kidney was dangerously enlarged. For years, Harrith underwent treatment, but in May 2023, we were hit with devastating news he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. Since then, Harrith has been on dialysis, requiring 2-3 sessions every week sometimes as many as 11 sessions a month, costing between NGN100,000.00 and NGN120,000.00 weekly. Without healthcare coverage, the financial burden on our family has been overwhelming. Dialysis is a temporary solution and comes with debilitating side effects, including severe anemia, low hemoglobin, and weakened immunity. Harrith’s life has changed drastically, he lost his job, and the vibrant, cheerful person we know is fighting for his life. But there is hope! A kidney transplant and immunosuppressant medication can offer Harrith the fresh start he desperately needs. We are determined to raise NGN29,287,500.00 to cover the transplant costs, and every single contribution big or small brings us one step closer to saving his life. Harrith is the eldest child in our family, a loving husband, and a beacon of strength and joy to all of us. He deserves to create new memories, enjoy family events, and live a life filled with the simple pleasures he cherishes like football, good food, and time with loved ones. It’s heartbreaking to see him go through this, but we are not giving up. Please consider donating, sharing this page, and spreading the word to help us give Harrith a chance at life. Every dollar count, and your support will go directly toward his transplant and medication. If you have any questions or need proof of his diagnosis, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity. Together, we can help Harrith get back on his feet and back to doing what he loves most and living life to the fullest. With gratitude. The Yussuf family
