Campaign Story
The complaints of education deprivation in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state is driven by various factors namely; financial barriers, socio-cultural norms and practices, ignorance on the part of parents, that discourage attendance in formal education.
Furthermore, our baseline survey in few schools in Chikun local government, indicates that; aside the growing no of OVC out-of- school, shows a shortage of learning materials in public schools. Over 4 children share a textbook, while in some classes only the teacher has a textbook. This invariably affects learning and learning outcome.
Stargate  foundation in the bid to check the above malaise, have decided upon certain areas of interest where we could provide some support. We believe in the pivotal role education plays to help the children actualize their full potential and also fostering the advancement of a nation as diverse as Nigeria. Stargate foundation through her projects intends to bridge that gap by providing school-related assistance to OVCs, and also support the government and the United Nations in achieving Quality Education.
