Campaign Story

Afripik is a platform created for African creatives, a free stock image library that showcases the real Africa, through African eyes. We started Afripik because we saw the gap: Too often, African designers, writers, filmmakers, and educators struggle to find authentic African visuals. Most stock image platforms don’t reflect our stories, our people, our colors, or our truth.   So we built Afripik, a platform where African photographers can upload their photos, and creatives across the continent can download and use them for free. Today, we’ve gathered over 900 images, covered local events, and shared visual stories from Nigeria with the world. But we want to do more.

We Need Your Help. We’re raising funds to:

1. Build a contributor reward system so African photographers can earn from their art.

2. Improve our website experience and storage.

3. Grow our image library to over 10,000 culturally-rich African photos.

4. Launch campaigns to get more images in Africa.

Your donation will help us keep Afripik free and accessible to all while empowering the African creative economy. No amount is too small. Whether you’re a fellow creative, a photographer, or someone who believes in the power of African storytelling, this is for you. You can visit www.afripik.com to see what we have done so far. Together, we can show the world who we really are. Thank you for believing in Afripik.
