My name is Kingsley Joseph Edet, and I want to seek our support for a life-changing opportunity—one that holds great promise not just for me personally, but for many young Nigerians whose lives I am committed to impacting.

I have recently been selected for the Young India Fellowship (YIF) at Ashoka University, India—one of South Asia’s most prestigious and interdisciplinary postgraduate programs. The Fellowship is scheduled to kick-start on the 20th of July, 2025, and I have been awarded a fully funded scholarship that covers tuition, accommodation, meals, and essential services for the entire duration of the one-year programme. 

However, the scholarship does not cover costs related to visa processing, international flights, and travel insurance, which together total approximately ₦3,000,000. These are expenses I cannot shoulder on my own at this time, and I am reaching out to Giving.ng with the hope of receiving your support to bridge this critical financial gap.

As someone who grew up in a low-income community in Akwa Ibom State, I’ve always been driven by a passion to use technology and education as tools to empower underserved communities. Over the past few years, I have led several grassroots initiatives as a STEM and Robotics Instructor, training young people in public schools on coding, artificial intelligence, IoT, and renewable energy systems. These efforts have reached thousands of learners across Ogun and Lagos States.
