Campaign Story

 

I hereby appeal for a fundraising for financial assistance on behalf of my little sister, Karen who took ill since February 2022. She requires urgent surgery to save her life and avoid amputation of her leg. The tumor is now aggressive and we are advised to schedule the surgery for her as soon as possible.

 

We were asked to run series of tests; MRI, X-Rays, Histology Biopsy, CT scans etc. Which are very expensive. So far we have spent a lot and we cannot afford the surgery cost.

 

The diagnoses came out as – Giant Cell Tumor of the right (Bone). (Giant Cell Rich Osteosarcoma)

 

The treatment plan from the Igbobi National Orthopedic Hospital is as follows;

 

1.The Denosumab Injections – to shrink the tumor before the surgery – cost N357,800 per injection. She needs 4 Shots of the Injection.

 

  1. Limb-salvage Surgery.

The total cost for the surgery is #5,000,000
