I never imagined I would have to write something like this. But life has pushed me to a point where I can no longer carry the burden alone. Some time ago, I had to undergo an urgent medical operation. It was a matter of survival, and with no savings to turn to, I borrowed from an online loan app. I thought I would repay quickly, but when the due date came, I still didn’t have the money. Out of desperation, I borrowed again to cover the first loan. That was the beginning of a painful cycle that has swallowed me whole. One loan turned into another, then another… until I was trapped. Today, I owe ₦1.2 million ($800) in total from 4 different app. Every day feels like a battle I am losing. The constant calls, the shame of not being able to pay, and the fear of what comes next have left me feeling broken inside. I am not asking for riches, only for relief. A chance to breathe again. To be free from this weight so I can rebuild my life with dignity and peace.
