Dear friends, supporters, and kind-hearted Nigerians, My name is Anthony Adizua, and I’m currently going through the most difficult time of my life. I took out loans from a few online platforms with the hope of investing the funds into a small business that I believed would generate income for me and my family. Unfortunately, the business failed and left me with nothing but overwhelming debt. In an attempt to manage, I took more loans to pay back the previous ones, and now I’m stuck in a painful cycle of debt and anxiety. I currently owe over ₦5.5 million across different platforms (FairMoney, Easemon, Alend, Branch, Opay, and EasyBuy). I am not a fraud, and I don’t intend to run from my obligations. I just need help to catch my breath and get back on my feet. I am actively looking for jobs and side hustles to support myself, but the pressure from the lenders is mounting every day, and I fear for my safety and well-being.
