Campaign Story
Help Judith rebuild her dreams My name is Judith and I am fundraising for a business that I hope to pass on to my children in the future. The business is my last hope of having a bright future and I’ve been passionate about grocery business since I was 15yrd old. Currently I volunteer at a grocery store were products such as pasta, rice, canned goods, cereal and breakfast foods and lots more are sold. With this funds I plan to lease a warehouse space, build it out to suit our business needs, purchase equipments for storage, lifting the products, carts, shelves and racks in higher quantities, purchase a delivery truck, pay for labor, fund a payroll account to create jobs in my community, insurance, market the brand and purchase products from different manufacturers and distributors. I never expected to be in this position. My parents made sure I and my siblings had a good future which in return I and my siblings tried to make our parents proud while taking care of our ill mom. But all those plans came crashing down on us when my dad’s health broke down and he was diagnosed with Cerebro Vascular disease and my dad could not do anything by himself without the help of someone else. After returning from the hospital, my dad asked me to go back to work that he was going to be fine. He dedicated his life to community service even on his sick bed. He was always in and out of the hospital because his health kept on degenerating for over 2 years. While taking care of my ill dad, it was his honest desire that I pursued my dreams without quitting cause of his health. So I was able to complete the business proposal on grocery store and I started applying for SME loans from different banks, grants from government, I met different potential investors and I went further to submit the proposal to different individual companies but nothing positive came out of them all. The hospital bills kept on increasing but I kept the FAITH alive not until my dad gave up the ghost on the 29th of January, 2021. I couldn’t bare the hurt I felt inside and no one knew what trauma I was going through. I had so many low moments, some nights I would cry myself to sleep because I was too exhausted and nothing was forth coming but I had family and friends who encouraged me to never give up. And reminded me that they believed and looked up to me. It was at this point that I realized I needed help from the community. So I ask you to please donate, every donation big or small is appreciated. I ask you to help bring the wishes of a late father to reality and the dreams of a family to limelight. Please share, thank you.
