Help Free Dr. Nnamdi Chukwudozie from illegal Detention and Support My Family
My name is Benedict Chukwudozie, and I am reaching out for help to save my family from a dire situation. My brother, Dr. Nnamdi Chukwudozie, a newly qualified medical doctor, was unjustly arrested on October 25th last year by men in military uniforms. Since then, we have been unable to locate him or get any substantial information about his whereabouts. After months of searching, we discovered a publication from the Defence Headquarters in Abuja indicating that he was arrested for allegedly treating unknown gunmen.
We have been tirelessly visiting various military barracks in the east and in Abuja, but every time we approach them, they deny having him in their custody. Our family has been devastated. We have consulted several lawyers, but the costs for their services are too high, and we’ve yet to find the right legal representation. The most recent lawyer who seemed promising requires ₦500,000 just for consultation and fees to pursue the case.
On top of this, rumors have begun circulating that there may be a certain person involved in orchestrating my brother’s detention. This individual, someone my brother worked for previously, is believed to be behind the plot to imprison him. Our biggest fear is that the military might try my brother without informing us, and even worse, they may unlawfully execute him without due process.
We need immediate legal intervention, and the lawyer we need to hire must begin working within two weeks to protect my brother’s life and secure his release. Without this, there is a real possibility that he will be tried and executed without us being notified or given the opportunity to fight for his freedom.
Adding to the financial strain, my father, who had been ill for a long time, passed away, and the money we used for his medical treatment and burial has left us financially drained. Our family had not even recovered from the loss when this devastating situation with my brother began. My mother, who is now suffering from high blood pressure, and I are struggling to cope with this financial burden.
Additionally, I recently underwent surgery due to an accident at home where an electric fan fell and caused significant injury. This surgery, combined with all the other financial challenges we face, has made it impossible for me to afford the ₦2,000,000 needed for legal representation and to secure my brother’s release.
I am urgently seeking ₦2,000,000 to:
1. Hire the lawyer who can work with us immediately.
2. Cover the medical expenses for my mother and myself.
3. Support my family during this extremely difficult time.
I am appealing to anyone who can help—any amount, big or small, will be deeply appreciated. We cannot allow my brother to be unlawfully tried or executed. Please, help us raise the necessary funds and bring justice to Dr. Nnamdi Chukwudozie.
Thank you for your kindness and support during this extremely challenging time.
