Short Story

I am writing to humbly appeal for your kind financial support to launch and sustain an important small-scale agribusiness project that will create sustainable income, contribute to local food security, and support my family and community in Imo State, Nigeria.

My name is Charles Osuigwe, a dedicated catfish farmer based in Imo State. Despite the growing demand for protein-rich catfish in Nigeria, accessing affordable capital remains a major challenge for small-scale farmers like myself. Traditional bank loans are often difficult to obtain due to high interest rates, stringent requirements, and limited collateral options. This has inspired me to launch a crowdfunding/donation campaign titled “Help Charles Raise 5,000 Pieces of Catfish Juveniles to 5,000 kg Weight of Table-Size Catfish”.

The goal of this project is to stock and raise 5,000 high-quality catfish juveniles (Clarias spp.) to marketable table size (approximately 1 kg each, totaling 5,000 kg) within 5 months. This cycle will generate revenue through sales to local markets, restaurants, and wholesalers, while building a scalable foundation for my farming business
