Campaign Story

Hello, my name is Juliet. I am an ESUT student, and I am writing this with a very heavy heart because I am at the point where I cannot carry this burden alone anymore. My exams are coming up on March 2nd, and I have not been able to pay my school fees. I barely feed. I have stopped attending lectures because I cannot afford transportation to school. Every day has become a struggle just to exist and not completely lose hope. Since my 100 level, my mother has been my sponsor. Right now, she is going through one of the most difficult periods of her life, and I cannot put more pressure on her. I am the hope of my mother and my sisters. Dropping out of school will not only destroy my dreams it will really break my family’s heart and my heart too. I applied for NELFUND on December 9th last year, hoping it would help me stay in school, but up till today, it has not been disbursed, and my exams are already close. I have tried to be patient, I have tried to stay strong, but I am reaching my limit. I have done everything humanly possible to remain in school. I have done cleaning jobs. I have sold snacks for people in school just to be able to feed, pay for transport, and survive. But despite all my efforts, nothing seems to be working, and I feel like my dreams and my future are standing at the edge of shattering. I started this journey with so much life, hope, and happiness. I don’t want to watch everything I have worked for be ruined because of financial hardship. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance to stay in school, to write my exams, and to keep hope alive for my family and myself. Any support, no matter how small, will help me stay afloat. And if you cannot donate, please consider sharing my story. Thank you for reading my story and for any help you can give. With gratitude and hope, Juliet
