❤️ Help Ivan Get the Heart Treatment and Care He Desperately Need Our Story My name is Photizo J. Areghan, and I am appealing to kind-hearted people, organizations, friends, family, and compassionate strangers to help save the life of my son, Ivan Areghan, a young boy from Nigeria who is living with a serious heart condition. Ivan was not always this sick. When we discovered that something was wrong with his heart, it was one of the most frightening experiences our family has ever faced. He has experienced frequent illness and repeated hospital visits. We have watched him go through periods of sickness and treatment, hoping and praying that things would improve. At one point, after leaving the hospital and returning home, his condition did not improve as we expected. We had to return to the hospital, where the doctors advised us to carry out further investigations to understand what was happening. That journey eventually led to an echocardiography examination. Ivan’s Heart Condition Ivan had an echocardiogram on 26 August 2026. The findings included: – Right ventricular hypertrophy – Overriding aorta – Pulmonary narrowing – Ventricular septal defect (VSD) – Findings consistent with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) – Ejection fraction (EF) of 68% We have been advised to see a pediatric cardiologist for further specialist assessment and to determine the appropriate treatment plan. As parents, receiving this information has been extremely difficult. We are trying to remain strong and hopeful, but the financial burden of specialist consultations, investigations, treatment, medications, hospital care, and possible procedures is far beyond what our family can comfortably afford. Why We Are Asking for Help We are raising ₦30,000,000 as a provisional fundraising goal because we do not yet have the final cost of Ivan’s treatment. We want Ivan to first receive a proper specialist assessment so that his doctors can determine exactly what treatment he needs. The money raised will help cover expenses such as: – Pediatric cardiology consultations – Additional medical investigations and tests – Hospital admissions and medical care – Medications – Cardiac procedures or surgery if recommended – Travel and medical-related expenses – Follow-up treatment and continued care As soon as we receive a clear treatment plan and reliable cost estimates from the appropriate specialists, we will provide updates and greater transparency about the expected expenses. Our Hope for Treatment in Germany 🇩🇪 One of our greatest hopes is for Ivan to receive proper treatment and care in Germany, if his medical specialists determine that this is appropriate and it is financially and practically possible. We are exploring this possibility because Ivan may require specialized pediatric cardiac care, and we want him to have access to the appropriate specialists, investigations, treatment, possible cardiac surgery if recommended, and proper follow-up care. Our goal is not simply to take Ivan to another country. Our goal is to give him access to the medical expertise and care that his condition requires. We are therefore praying and working toward getting Ivan properly assessed and, if recommended, treated by experienced pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery specialists in Germany. At the same time, we will continue pursuing appropriate medical care available to him in Nigeria while we work toward the best possible treatment pathway. Support Already Coming From Germany We are deeply grateful that there is already someone in Germany who genuinely wants to support Ivan and help us find a way forward. However, the support available is not enough to cover the enormous financial needs involved in Ivan’s treatment and possible medical journey to Germany. The person supporting us is also a wheelchair user and is not financially well-off, but despite her own financial limitations, she still wants to do what she can to help Ivan. We do not take this kindness for granted. Her willingness to stand with Ivan despite her own limitations has encouraged our family greatly. But we know that Ivan’s medical needs require the support of many compassionate people rather than placing such a heavy burden on one person. Once Ivan has been properly assessed by the relevant specialists and we receive a confirmed treatment plan and costs, we will update the campaign accordingly. Funds will be directed toward Ivan’s medical needs and the necessary expenses connected with obtaining his treatment and care.
