SOLICITING DONATIONS FOR CHURCH BUILDING
We are the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, Emmanuel Hall Area and Parish, Crown of His Beauty Zone, Lagos Province 27,Region 19.
We soliciting for financial support for the purchase of a place of worship for the church.
Our brief history; Emmanuel Hall was inaugurated as a parish and started as a church at No. 115, Egbeda-Idimu Road in the year 2002, paying a rent of #50,000 per annum and within the space of three years, the rent steadily increased to #100,000. However due to increased membership, the shop soon became too small. So in 2005, the parish moved to a small warehouse, a few buildings away from the initial location at No. 119, Egbeda-Idimu Road, paying a rent of #150,000 per annum. The rent also steadily increased over a period of 12years the church was there to #800,000 per annum. The burden of offsetting the rent yearly made it imperative for the church to acquire a permanent place of worship.
In 2007,God provided a land for the church at No. 9, Balogun Street, some fee metres away from the former location at a lease of 10 years. The church have since moved to site for fellowship since 1st of October 2017. Late last year, the church was approached and offered the property for outright purchase at the valued sum of Ten Million Naira (#10,000,000).
The R.C.C.G’s policy on purchase of properties by parishes is that , the mission will contribute 66.6% while the parish contributes a balance of 33.3%. In our situation, this means the mission would contribute Six Million , Six Hundred Thousand Naira (#6,600,000) whole the parish will contribute the sum of Three Million, Four Hundred Thousand (#3,400,000).
With the improvements that needed to be made at the moment, the church has been able to laid the foundation and put a structure on the land, with windows and doors completed, the ceiling yet to completed, plastering still needed to be done and flooring in some areas as well as the offices and children church. All these will cost about #1,500,000, making a total of #4,900,000.
The burden of raising this amount is enormous for the parish. Internally, we have been able to raise about #1,000,000, leaving a balance of #3,900,000 , which is why we are seeking financial support from those who have the passion and love for God’s work to support financially and materially to this laudable RCCG, EMMANUEL HALL BUILDING PROJECT.
