Campaign Story
My name is Abubakar Sani Ubana from Nasarawa State,Nigeria. I graduated from Federal University of Lafia,Nasarawa where I earned my Bsc Chemistry.
In October 2025, I was honored to be awarded the GCUB-MOB Scholarship to pursue a Master’s in Computational Mathematical Modelling at CEFET-MG, Brazil. While the program was set to begin in February 2026, I faced significant financial constraints that slowed down the complex documentation and legalization process.
For a moment, I thought I had lost the opportunity of a lifetime. However, after consistent communication and showing my commitment, the university has officially extended my resumption to late July!
I am now working round the clock to cross the final hurdle. This stage involves intense logistics:
1. Consular Legalization: Getting my Ministry-authenticated documents notarized by the Brazilian Consulate in Lagos.
2. Professional Translation: Translating my degree and transcripts into Portuguese.
3. Medical Insurance: Securing a comprehensive 365-day policy (a prerequisite for the visa and scholarship activation).
4. Police Character Certificate: Re-processing a new certificate as my previous one expired during the delay.
5. Travel Logistics: Finalizing flight arrangements to Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
