December 25th Christmas Day, Blessing (picture below) a beautiful young girl of 15 years old lost her life. Her lifeless naked body had been badly disfigured, her life was cut short tragically. This could have been prevented. I had seen Blessing just a week before her death during our end of the year project. Blessing was one of the many youths across Nigeria, who came to Lagos to seek a better life. Her parents couldn’t afford to train her at school, so she ended up as a house help. Blessing and three other teenagers had decided to go to the beach on Christmas day like a lot of other teenagers across the country, unfortunately only three made it back home. This unfortunate incident has caused me to swallow my pride and ask you my Facebook friends for help. From Streets to Stars: Investing in Youth Potential is a Campaign that we have started to help a minimum of 500 youths across Nigeria (all states)in 2024. FunmiLove Empowerment Foundation is a registered company that aims to support disadvantaged Youths between the ages of 13 and 30 (both male and female) with a passion for hair (male and female), makeup, nails, fashion and photography. Every session we aim to support individuals on full scholarship into the academy. Our Goal is to train a minimum of 500 youths in the year 2024 across Nigeria. On the 1st and 2nd of December, one of our students competed in the Afro Hair Culture and Beauty Festival 2023 in Abuja sponsored by the Funmi-Love Hair Academy In 2024, the Youths will be representing the Academy and Nigeria as a whole in three International hair and beauty competition. This is what is needed to support a child
