We are raising funds to help my family of four secure a new, stable home. We currently live in Lagos, but our landlord has asked us to leave so his own family can move into the property. We have until October 25th to find a new place, and we urgently need help covering the rental deposit and first year’s rent for a new home. This campaign is our way of reaching out for support during a difficult and uncertain time. We are not asking for luxury, just a safe roof over our heads while we work to rebuild financially. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to that goal. We are grateful for anyone willing to walk this journey with us, even in a small way. Life has not been easy for us lately. On top of losing our home, we are still repaying loans we took out just to keep up with rent at our current place. Those debts have stretched our finances thin, leaving us with little to nothing saved for a new deposit or moving costs. We never imagined we’d be in this position, asking for help to secure something as basic as housing, but circumstances have left us with no other option. I’m doing this without the knowledge of my parents, one of my biggest worries is making sure we have a stable, safe place to call home, somewhere they can feel secure and continue their lives without disruption as they should not be facing this kind of trouble in their old age. We are working hard to get back on our feet, but the combination of existing debt and this sudden need to relocate has made it nearly impossible to manage alone.
