My name is Iruke Ruth Amarachi, and I was born into a family of small farmers in a rural area in Avonkwu Ibeku, Umuahia North, Abia State, Nigeria. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by rural farmers, including limited access to funding, inadequate infrastructure, and inefficient farming practices. As a passionate entrepreneur and farmer, I’ve decided to take action and make a positive impact in my community.

I’m launching a mushroom and snail farming project to provide sustainable livelihoods for rural farmers, improve food security, and promote nutrition. Why I need funding: Despite my enthusiasm and dedication, I face significant financial constraints in scaling up my project.

I need funding to support the following initiatives:

1. Training and Capacity Building: Provide training programs for farmers on modern mushroom and snail farming techniques.

2. Infrastructure Development: Establish demonstration farms, training centers, and storage facilities to support mushroom and snail farming.

3. Marketing and Sales: Develop online platforms and marketing strategies to connect farmers with buyers and promote their products.

Impact: With your funding support, I aim to:

1. Improve the livelihoods of 5,000 mushroom and snail farmers in Nigeria.

2. Increase mushroom and snail production by 50%, contributing to improved food security and nutrition.

3. Empower 2,000 women and youth in mushroom and snail farming, promoting inclusive and sustainable agricultural practices.
