Campaign Story

My name is Hafsat Abdullahi, and I come from a small town in Nigeria, raised by a single mother who sacrificed everything to ensure her eight children had a chance at life. Against the odds, I completed a degree in Microbiology and have now been accepted into some of the UK’s top universities to study Global Health, Cancer Biology, Public Health, and Regenerative Medicine.

But now, I’m at a crossroads.

I’ve worked so hard, applied for every scholarship, and done everything right, but I simply cannot afford the tuition fees on my own. In my country, loans are out of reach, and I don’t have any assets or safety nets to fall back on. I have the dream, I have the offer letters, I just don’t have the money.

Each of these programs brings me closer to my life’s purpose: to return home and help rebuild our healthcare systems so that children don’t die of preventable diseases, so that women in rural areas can access care, and so that poverty no longer determines who lives and who doesn’t.

I’m trying to raise between £13,000 and £30,000, depending on which offer I’m able to fund.
