Short Story
Today, I’m inviting you to support Osas Foundation Care (OFC) through a General Support crowdfunding campaign to strengthen our work across Lagos for the rest of the year. OFC is a community-led nonprofit committed to promoting care, dignity, equality, safety and wellbeing for vulnerable youth and underserved communities. Our mission is to provide community-centered support, education, advocacy and empowerment that protects dignity and creates pathways to safer and healthier lives.
General Support matters because needs don’t arrive in one category. Sometimes it’s health information and stigma-free dialogue. Sometimes it’s mental wellbeing support and safe help-seeking. Sometimes it’s human rights and equality awareness — helping people understand dignity, anti-discrimination, and respectful care. And sometimes it’s practical outreach support and referral navigation to trusted medical, psychosocial and legal services. Your contribution allows OFC to respond where the need is most urgent, without delay.
This campaign also helps us prepare for larger planned outreach activities we are working toward, including a first-time outreach in Makoko based on a survey and listening visit. We want to do this work properly — with planning, safeguarding, and the resources needed to deliver support with respect.
Your support helps cover essential programme costs such as educational materials and printing, transport and logistics, communication and follow-up, safeguarding and case support tools, volunteer coordination, and emergency assistance where appropriate. We operate with a privacy-first, do-no-harm approach: we do not expose beneficiaries, we protect sensitive details, and we share impact through anonymised updates and accountable record-keeping.
Action: Please donate today and share this campaign with at least 3 people who believe in dignity-first community care.
Thank you for standing with a community that believes in education over misinformation, care over judgement, prevention over fear, support over stigma, and equality over discrimination. Every contribution — big or small — helps OFC keep showing up with dignity, consistency, and real impact.
