Campaign Story
My name is Esther Ekanem. I am 33 years old, a widow, and the sole parent of two toddlers — a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old — living in Abuja, Nigeria. I lost my husband and was left with nothing but two babies who needed me to keep going. So I did. In 2022, I registered my own business — Classic 2Piece By Queen (CAC No. 3719946) — a women’s ready-to-wear fashion brand. I built it from scratch. No investor, no loan, no help. Just my hands, my determination, and a phone. When clients started asking me to help them edit their CVs, I taught myself how to use AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT to provide that service professionally — so I could put food on the table for my children. I have been doing this while nursing a 2-year-old and chasing a 4-year-old. My children are not yet in school because I cannot yet afford it. I am now actively learning tech skills — one course, one video, one step at a time — because I believe technology is my way forward. I want to become a virtual assistant, a digital services provider, someone who can work remotely and earn a stable income for my family. There are days I feel like giving up. There are nights I go to bed worried about tomorrow. But when I look at my children’s faces, I get up and keep going. What I am asking for: • Enroll my 2 and 4-year-old in school (₦100,000) • A reliable laptop to grow my CV editing and digital services business (₦180,000) • Enroll in structured tech training (₦80,000) • Stock for my fashion business to generate consistent income (₦140,000) • 3 months of household stability while I build (₦100,000) I am not asking for charity. I am asking for a bridge. I have the drive, the skills, and the business — I just need a little push to get to the other side. Even if you can only share this campaign, that alone could change everything. Every share reaches someone who might believe in a widow who refused to give up. Thank you from the bottom of my heart — from me and my two babies. — Esther Ekanem | Abuja, Nigeria |[email protected] | 08122106280
