Description

Hi, am Dr. Austin Edward N. (the author of Transformation Mathematics for Senior secondary schools).
Am fundraising for eyes surgery (retinal detachment) in India.
I was a lecturer at African thinkers college of Education and a maths tutor at corner stone secondary school, Asaba before I lost my sight. It was in the process of proofreading and editing the above mentioned book on the computer screen that I lost my sight due to the intense pressure exerted on my eyes. Even in my state of blindness, my passion and resilience can seen by the public as an online MATHEMATICS EDUCATOR on tiktok @blindmathematicswizard. Similarly, I was also the first mathematician the world over who had invented the “rules of divisibility for seven”:

This can achieved without using a calculator/computer but by the application of the formula referred to as Chinemeze’s formula. This ambiguous mathematical discovery was made in my state of blindness in the year 2017.
It is conspicuously glaring that if only I can teach mathematics online proficiently/effortlessly as well as discover enigmatic mathematical inventions as a person with impaired vision, you can now envisage how scholars can benefit from my wealth of experience as a mathematics genius if given the privilege to regain my sight through surgery courtesy of this fundraising platform. I also have that burning desire to author many maths texts for primary, secondary and tertiary institutions respectively for easier understanding.

However, I visited Eye foundation Hospital, Lagos state on the 8th of October, 2018. After the diagnosis, the bill was 2,010,000 naira which I couldn’t afford because I had just concluded my Ph.D program and had spent much money on education/research. After three years of financial hopelessness, I visited Nosco Eye Hospital, Anambra State in the year 2021 and it was diagnosed to be retinal detachment (complicated) which cost $10,450. I applied for fund for eye surgery overseas from the Anambra State ministry of health but to no avail.
Furthermore, to verify the validity of my eyes, I went to Divine Specialist Diagnostic Clinic, Anambra State for Ultrasound Report and Ocular Scan dated 7th December, 2023. The report affirmed that I could still see with my both eyes if I undertake surgery in overseas. I solicited for fund from friends and well wishes but the amount was infinitesimal to undertake the task overseas. It was by sheer luck I got to know about the platform (GoFundMe) by a concerned individual. So I mustered courage out of my depression and re_visited the Nosco Eye Hospital (30th January, 2026) but I was petrified when the medical bill was more than twice that of 2021 that is, $25,250. It is also obvious that after six months of undertaking the eye surgery I must travel once again for final check up which will be part of miscellaneous expenses because of a mini-surgery I have to undergo. To get my sight revived is sacrosanct and raison de’etre to me. Any amount given to me will be judiciously and frugally used for the sole aim of regaining my vision. I therefore humbly and passionately plead with spirited individuals lovers of education, philanthropist, charity organizations and foundations around the globe to come to my aid to regaining my sight because I don’t want to commit suicide for this is my last bus stop. May God replenish your coffers in million folds. May His mercy and favor never depart from you, your family and future generations forever, Amen
