Our commitment to financial stewardship ensures funds are managed responsibly, allowing these transformative activities to remain cost-free for attendees. Established in 2018, DISCOVER Camp Meeting is an inclusive event for youths to discover their purpose and talents, live intentional lives, and experience spiritual renewal. Open to African youths aged 13-30, it emphasizes character molding and the pursuit of dreams in Christ. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of transparency and accountability, and we eagerly share detailed reports with our sponsors.

Campaign Story

Hi, I’m Tiwa Sho – The Project Director for Young African Talent and I’m proposing an opportunity to be part of something big. I trust that you will be willing to partake in this.

It’s been a phenomenal experience in YAT and I cannot begin to tell you the number of lives that have undergone transformation at our NGo.

We’ve witnessed people reconciled to their parents because of character transformation. 

We have people who have grown in knowledge and expertise because we always challenge youths to exceed their limits.

Constantly, we see youths collaborate and easily embark on projects because of the great deal of networking that takes place at YAT. We can point to several Godly relationships that have been formed here. 

We are super excited for the next generation of youths in Africa because of what God is doing through us.

One of our expressions, our camp meeting, called DISCOVER is upon us. We’ve been running this every year since 2016 (except 2020 because of the lockdown). 

Funds Required: Seven Million and Five Hundred Thousand Naira Only (N7,500,000.00)

Attendance: 500 Youths

Duration – 4 Days (Camping)

Feeding, Registration, and Accommodation: FREE for ALL participants.

Our approach to financial stewardship has always been grounded in the principles of corporate governance. We hold a deep sense of responsibility in managing funds entrusted to us. It is our heartfelt desire and firm belief that the Gospel and transformative activities like the spiritual camp exercise should not burden participants with imposed costs.

Our aim is to create an environment where everyone can freely engage and fully immerse themselves in the programs designed to foster their social and spiritual growth.

ABOUT DISCOVER CAMP MEETING

As part of the need to engage youths in the age long practice of retreat and separation as enshrined through the life of Jesus and the understanding of self-appraisal, the conference which has now become a camp was birthed. DISCOVER started as a conference in 2016 and by 2018 it became a camp meeting STRICTLY for youths.

DISCOVER is an annual camp meeting for youths irrespective of denomination with the following objective;

  1. Be a place for youths to discover and rediscover purpose and talents.
  2. Serve as a platform to engage youths to live intentional and purpose driven lives.
  3. Be a platform to reveal Christ in all His entirety as the sustainer of all dreams and lives.
  4. A place of spiritual retreating, revival and renewal for Christian youths.
  5. Be a connecting platform for godly youths to meet other people and be inspired and influenced by what everyone is doing across multiple denominations.
  6. Be a camp for molding character.

As a group, we hold firmly to the belief that ANY and ALL programs aimed at benefiting the youth demography should NEVER come at a cost hence we have NEVER charged any youth for attending our camp meetings – Feeding and Accommodation all come FREE!!! At the cost of only those who wish to support the vision.

Young African Talent is a Christian-based outreach to African youths. The body organizes THE YAT outreaches aimed at reaching African youths. Our target audience are but not limited to African youths ages 13 – 30 years. We teach youths to “exceed their limits in Christ by harnessing the potentials/talents/giftings within” and show them that “there is a better version of them in Christ.”
