Campaign Story

I am Miracle Chukwuemeka Odih, a purpose-driven young man currently undergoing the onboarding process to serve aboard Mercy Ships — a globally recognized non-profit that operates hospital ships, providing free, life-changing surgeries and healthcare to underserved communities across Africa.

Mercy Ships delivers medical care, dental services, women’s health support, and essential training to local professionals — strengthening entire healthcare systems in areas where hope is scarce. Every crew member — from surgeons to cooks — volunteers without pay, driven by love and purpose.

I have completed my video interview and am now preparing to submit several critical documents:

-STCW Basic Training Certificates

-Security Awareness Certification

-Seafarer Medical Certificate

-Seaman’s Book

I also need to cover visa processing, medical screenings, and travel logistics to the ship’s embarkation point.

I’m not pursuing this opportunity just to travel — in fact, I may not even have all the financial resources to fully empower myself. But I have a heart that longs to serve, to lift others, and to change lives. That’s why your support means everything.
