Campaign Story

Imagine waking up every morning not to make coffee or take a warm shower, but to walk miles — often barefoot — just to fetch water from a muddy stream or an open well teeming with disease. This is the reality for many families in our community every single day. Access to clean, safe water is a basic human right — but for hundreds of people here, it’s a distant dream.

We are launching this campaign to raise funds for the construction of a deep borehole water system in our community — a sustainable, long-term solution that will provide clean, drinkable water to children, families, schools, and healthcare workers.

Why This Matters

Right now, many residents — especially women and children — spend hours each day walking long distances to fetch water. The water they bring back is often unsafe, leading to serious health problems like cholera, typhoid, and dysentery. This not only puts lives at risk but also keeps children, especially girls, out of school and hinders overall development in the area.

By drilling a borehole, we will eliminate these dangers and give the community:

  • Safe and clean water for drinking, cooking, and hygiene

  • Reduced risk of waterborne diseases

  • Time saved that can be used for education and livelihood

  • Improved school attendance, especially for girls

  • Empowered local development and better quality of life

PROJECT INCLUDE

  • Hydrogeological survey and water testing

  • Drilling and casing of the borehole

  • Construction of water tank, taps, and drainage
