Hello friends and supporters of bodily autonomy,

My name is Ade, and I’m an intactivist based in Nigeria. I’ve spent the past few years raising awareness and standing against harmful traditional practices, particularly those affecting children’s bodily integrity.

Unfortunately, my activism has made me a target.

Recently, I’ve faced ongoing threats and harassment from a senior government official—the Commissioner of Health—who has used their position to intimidate and endanger me for speaking out. My safety is no longer guaranteed here, and staying in Nigeria has become increasingly dangerous.

I’m reaching out to the global intactivist and human rights community to ask for urgent help. I need to relocate to Uganda, where I have a safer network and can continue my advocacy work without fear. This move will allow me to rebuild my life and protect myself from further harm.

I’m seeking to raise $3,000 to cover:

• Flight ticket to Uganda

• Temporary accommodation

• Basic food and living expenses for the first few months
