Short Story
I am raising funds to represent Nigeria at the Africa World Poetry Slam this December. Beyond performance, this is an opportunity to grow my craft into a sustainable career, build international networks, and position Nigerian poetry on a continental stage. Your support is not just helping me attend; it is an investment in a creative business that will inspire, create value, and open doors for future projects, workshops, and opportunities that benefit others as well.

Campaign Story
- I am honored to have been chosen to represent Nigeria at the Africa World Poetry Slam this December. This recognition came after winning LIPFest in Lagos, which secured my place as Nigeria’s official representative. Unfortunately, I previously missed the chance to represent Nigeria at the World Poetry Slam in Mexico because of lack of funds. I do not want this rare opportunity to slip away again.
This fundraising campaign will cover essential costs including travel, accommodation, registration, and logistics. Without this support, I will not be able to participate. With your support, I can proudly carry Nigeria’s voice, culture, and creativity to the global stage.
This journey is not just about me, it is about investing in the creative economy and positioning Nigerian poetry on an international platform. Poetry is both an art and a business; attending this event will open doors to international networks, collaborative projects, workshops, and future opportunities that can benefit others in Nigeria’s literary and creative community.
By supporting this campaign, you are not only helping me attend, you are investing in a sustainable creative career that can inspire young poets, generate cultural value, and showcase Nigeria’s talent to the world. Every contribution, big or small, is a step toward making this dream a reality and ensuring that Nigeria’s voice is heard loud and clear at Africa’s biggest poetry stage.
Thank you for your belief, your generosity, and your investment in this journey.
