Campaign Story
Lagos is choking.
Our streets are buried in trash. Canals are blocked. Waterfronts once filled with life are now dumping grounds. Every rainy season, floods destroy homes, businesses, and lives — all because our city is suffocating under the weight of neglect and waste.
But we believe this can change, not just through policy, but through people.
“Clean Lagos, Empower Lagos” is a grassroots initiative to clean up the canals, drainages, and waterfronts of Lagos State, while giving area boys (agberos) a second chance at life by turning them into paid sanitation workers, trained in hygiene, safety, and community service.
This is not just about cleaning the city. It’s about:
-
Preventing floods and disease
-
Restoring dignity and jobs to unemployed youths
-
Reclaiming public spaces
-
Inspiring civic pride
Here’s what your donation will do:
-
Provide work stipends for 500+ unemployed area boys
-
Supply cleaning tools, uniforms, and safety gear
-
Fund drainage and waterfront evacuation
-
Support waste disposal logistics with LAWMA and volunteers
-
Create education and awareness campaigns across communities
Our Goal: ₦50 million
To run a 6-month pilot across 3 LGAs: Surulere, Mushin, and Eti-Osa.
This is a movement of hope, not blame. A call to action for those who believe in a better, cleaner, safer Lagos.
We are not waiting for the government. We are becoming the solution.
