The Kingmakers of Tangle land elected Dr. Musa Idris Maiyamba with 5 votes as Mai Tangle after demise of Dr. Abdu Buba Maisheru the II, Chairman Northern Christian Kings. However, the state governor imposed Sanusi Maishanu who polled 2 votes thereby going against the norm of the King making process as Dr. Musa Idris is the most preferred and has pulled the majority of the votes which was 5 votes. That brought about protests throughout Tangle land for 3 days but the Governor and government of Gombe State did not respond to the issue amicably. Then some thugs were used to turn the protest into a violent one. The Government in collaboration with their allies arrested Tangle men and women on hearsay, without proof and due cause to law, among them is a woman breastfeeding a child. Most of these people arrested and kept for almost a year now are the breadwinners of their families. This is the reason why we are calling on all sons and daughters of Tangale to aid in raising funds necessary to alleviate their sufferings including rendering support to their families. This is the need this fund raising seeks to meet. It will be given to the families of those in jail.
