Campaign Story

Hello, my name is Afolabi Kazeem Olawale, founder of the RIPEN Project for Africa.

I’m raising funds to build the African Utility Wallet (AUW) — a revolutionary digital wallet that begins in Nigeria and expands across Africa to give every citizen, regardless of location or income, the ability to pay for electricity, water, airtime, internet, cable TV, government levies, and taxes all in one simple, trusted wallet.

AUW is more than a payment tool — it is Africa’s gateway to financial freedom, inclusion, and economic unity.

Why It Matters:

Across Africa, millions of people struggle with fragmented and unreliable payment systems. Ordinary citizens waste hours on bills, agents, and manual transactions. Many have no access to digital banking or transparent government payment options.

The African Utility Wallet will change that.

It will:

Unify all essential payments across borders and services.

Connect rural and urban communities through one trusted digital ecosystem.

Support governments with transparent, traceable digital revenue systems.

Empower local economies and the unbanked through fintech and telecom partnerships.

We are starting this journey from Nigeria, in collaboration with institutions like UBA, OPay, and MTN, and we envision scaling to every African nation under one connected platform — “One Africa, One Wallet.”

Why It’s Personal:

I’ve seen the struggles of millions of Africans — small traders, artisans, farmers, and workers — who lose time and money to inefficiency, multiple payment apps, and disjointed systems. AUW is my personal mission to bring inclusion, ease, and prosperity to every African household.

This is not just a tech project; it’s a movement for empowerment — for dignity, access, and financial unity across our continent.

How Your Support Will Be Used:

Your donations will fund the pilot phase in Nigeria, which will serve as the model for other African countries.

Breakdown:

Platform Development & Testing — ₦80 million

Licensing, Legal & Compliance — ₦30 million

Integration with UBA, OPay & MTN APIs — ₦25 million

Marketing, Branding & Public Education — ₦50 million

Operations, Staffing & Launch Events — ₦45 million

Africa Expansion Feasibility Study — ₦30 million

Total: ₦260 million (~$170,000 USD)

Our Vision:

The African Utility Wallet (AUW) will be Africa’s first unified utility and payment system — designed to foster financial inclusion, improve transparency, and strengthen the African Union’s digital integration goals.

Together, we can make Africa’s financial independence real, one wallet, one people, one future.
