Campaign Story
My name is Alex Umukoro, a civil servant, and this is our story.
I met Esther, the woman I love, at a time I least expected. Our relationship grew quietly but deeply, built on love, faith, and commitment. Not long after, our joy was shaken when Esther was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Doctors told us one of her breasts would need to be removed. It felt like the ground disappeared beneath our feet. For months, we lived between hospital visits, fear, and prayer. She endured three rounds of chemotherapy, each one draining her strength, her finances, and our hope—but never her faith.
At a point when everything felt overwhelming, she made a difficult decision: she stopped treatment and chose to fully trust God for healing. We prayed. We cried. We believed.
And God answered.
Today, she is healthy. No breast was lost. What doctors feared did not happen. Her life is a testimony of grace and faith. This happened last year, and it changed us forever.
This year, with grateful hearts, we decided to get married and begin the life we fought so hard to preserve. We planned a simple wedding for February, not luxury—just a covenant before God and family.
But the battle left its mark.
All our savings were exhausted during her treatment. Every source of support we hoped for has remained closed. Despite working as a civil servant, I simply cannot raise what is needed in such a short time—no matter how hard I try.
We are not asking for extravagance.
We are asking for help to start our marriage, after surviving a season that nearly broke us.
she is three years older than me, but age and background never mattered—faith, loyalty, and love did. She stood strong in sickness, and I want to stand strong with her in life.
If you are moved to help us—financially, through sharing, or through prayers—you are becoming part of a story that already carries God’s fingerprints.
Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to the day we say “I do.”
And we will never forget the kindness that helped us begin.
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for believing with us.
Thank you for being part of our miracle.
