Story

A volunteer opportunity with Kiva,An Opportunity to change lives.

I am a financial Inclusion Expert with more than 5 years social enterprise experience.
I have been opportune to service more than 500 Individuals, helping them build asset and raise their standard of living.

Kiva is an NGO that help low income earners get easier access to finance, sometimes through Field Partners.

The Volunteer Program is with two social enterprises: One in Uganda and the other in Kenya.
The former is a social enterprise that provides good drinking water for school children and health centres, while the latter is a social enterprise that preserves wild life.

The Volunteer job role includes using my social enterprise experience to help the Partners improve their system and procedures.

Because Kiva is an NGO, this role is non-compesated, though there is a modest re-imbursement, yet it can not cover most of the cost.

While I am covering more than 40% of the cost(Travel ticket (To and fro)to San Fransisco for the training), Kiva covers approximately 30%( Travel ticket to and fro to Kenya and Uganda, part of the accommondation and living cost), I still need to raise the remaining fund( Living and accomondation expenses in Sanfransico, Traveling cost within west Africa and other expenses)through people that believe in improving lives in Africa and other developing countries
