Campaign Story

We want to open a Free Tech Hub with a Pilot startUp Project. The Hub will be the first Tech space in a close proximity to Obio Akpa campus of the Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU). We wish to use this initiative to set a model for establishment of Tech skills development centers in remote areas.

At the Hub, we’ll have a Free Tech skills class on weekends for registered students.

We also intend to bridge the gaps and increase the number of female secondary school leavers in rural that acquire tech skills. For this, we hope to Kickstart the #RuralSheCanTech campaigns. This campaign will enhance their passion, while seeking collaborative partnership for full training.

• The pilot startup project of the hub is a mobile application for escrow, errands and service deliveries within specified locations.

What the Kickstarter Funds will help us do:

1. Pay for Space and TechHub Set up
2. Solar system for power availability
3. Buy DI printer for Branding Services
4. Fund the pilot startup development stages
5. Research and Logistics for Y4Y Coalition for Sustainable Development
