FIX-R stands for FIX-Reading. FIX-R is an organization that is centered on awareness creation and treatment of dyslexia using the FIX-R intervention. Dyslexia is simply the inability of a child to spell, read and comprehend in ways that are commensurate to their intellectual capabilities. Dyslexia can come with a lot of underlying emotional issues like low self esteem, inferiority complex, aggression, withdrawal, depression andany others. Dyslexia has also been associated to dropping out schools and work place truancy. Our goal is to make dyslexia a household term through awareness creation and training we can have dyslexia friendly schools. This is also a good way to ensure that inclusive education can be promoted and misconceptions can be erased in education in Nigeria and Africa at large
