The Peace Volunteers Nigeria is holding a peace awareness programme tagged: CATCH THEM YOUNG FOR PEACE PROJECT among all secondary schools in Nigeria (NO TO VIOLENCE PROGRAMME).
We are hereby using this medium to seek for the support of everyone all over the world to raise fund with us to execute this noble programme that will sensitize and orientate our youths in secondary schools about the importance of Peace Maintenance and promotion in Nigeria society as a whole.
The gesture will go a long way as in enhancing the preaching and promotion of peace ideals among the teeming youths of Nigeria. Other organization that will be coming on board are: The Nigerian Police, National Orientation Agency, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), National Youth Council of Nigeria, Nigeria Union of Teachers etc.
Find below some of the events slated for the week programme:
DAY 1: Sensitization Peace Crusade among students at various Markets, Motor Parks and their individual schools, Government Parastatals/Agency etc.
DAY 2 and 3: Peace Football Matches among all the participated schools tagged PEACE CUP.
DAY 4: Awareness PEACE RALLY around the State Capitals with target population of 2,000,000 students, staff and over 5,000,000 general public.
DAY 5: Official Launching of Catch Them Young for Peace Project in each State by the Governor of the State and this will feature event such as Peace Advocate Awards Presentation, Achiever Lectures, Seminars and the establishment of Peace Volunteers Club in all the participated secondary schools in the state and with other Peace related issues.
SUPPORT REQUIRED
- NECESSARY CAPITAL SUPPORT/DONATION NEEDED TO CARRY OUT THE PROGRAMME IN EACH STATE.
These are the supports and donations required in respect of equipment/materials to be used by the Centre and Peace Volunteers in the State towards continue promotion of peace ideals. In addition, the BOOK OF DONOURS for the Peace Project Programme, donours will have their names inscribed on the materials donated. (except otherwise instructed)
- Materials needed for the Peace Awareness Project including Seminars and Workshop on campuses and Secondary schools which could be donated of the programmes are:
